Feb 01, 2013· The clay fractions of sedimentary kaolin deposits representing different ages (Carboniferous and Cretaceous), types (pisolitic flint and plastic), and localities (Sinai and Aswan) from Egypt were analyzed for their H and O isotopic compositions to examine the paleoclimate conditions during their formation.
The environmental isotopic study revealed that the investigated local kaolin is relatively low in radioactivity except sample 7. The kaolin from Turkey is also low activity but kaolin from southeast Asia has a very high radioactivity. We recommended the kaolin discovered in Egypt can be economically exploited and can be used for export.
